Winterizing your cages is easy and makes your tomato season last longer.
There are different options when it comes to winterizing your cages. IFA has a green house bag that you can purchase. It is especially for going over tomato cages. You can also use a clear garbage bag, but it needs to be heavy duty and durable. Puncture proof are the best to withstand the winds and frost. We used clear plastic wrap that was purchased at Home Depot.
Once your cage is wrapped and you have your plant inside of it, you need to add a bottle of warm water to give it the green house effect. You will want to change the water bottle daily.
